aumix-common software package provides Simple text-based mixer control program (common files), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install aumix-common
aumix-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the aumix-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep aumix-common *
You will get with aumix-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
